Northeastern Woodlands Indigenous Peoples (Facebook Community) Role: Founder, Administrator, and Content Creator
I founded and currently administer a digital community of nearly 6,000 members dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Northeastern Woodlands Indigenous culture. My goal is to provide a central hub for news, cultural events, and advocacy for tribes including the Mohegan, Pequot, Narragansett, and Wampanoag.
Community Management: I manage a high-engagement group, overseeing daily interactions, moderating discussions, and ensuring a respectful environment for cultural exchange.
Content Curation: I maintain a consistent publishing schedule (3x weekly), sourcing and verifying news and events from across the country to keep the community informed.
Brand Growth: Under my leadership, the group has grown into a significant regional resource for tribal members and the general public alike.
To further the group’s mission, I produce original multimedia content, including filming and editing cultural documentaries and event highlights.
Case Study: Narragansett Indian Tribe’s 350th Annual August Meeting Powwow.
Objective: Capture the significance of a historic milestone through cinematic storytelling.
Outcome: The video serves as both a cultural archive and an engagement tool, bringing the experience to those unable to attend in person.
This project demonstrates my ability to build an audience from the ground up, manage a large digital community, and use video production to drive a mission-based narrative. It proves I can handle the technical, social, and strategic aspects of modern digital marketing.
